Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up endoscopy and gastro procedure rooms prior to examinations.
• Assist doctors during procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and related interventions.
• Handle, clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic equipment as per protocols.
• Ensure availability of all necessary instruments, accessories, and consumables.
• Support patient preparation, positioning, and post‑procedure care.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities to the medical team.
• Maintain proper documentation of procedures, equipment usage, and patient details.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization guidelines.
• Perform leak testing and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment.
• Coordinate with CSSD for sterilization and instrument management.
• Maintain inventory of gastro‑related instruments and supplies.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate for repairs.
• Assist in emergency procedures and critical care situations when required.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal as per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the endoscopy unit.
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work in rotational shifts including weekends and emergency duties.
• Provide support and reassurance to patients before and after procedures.
