Job summary

Artemis Medicare is seeking an Emergency Department (ED) Coordinator to oversee daily operations, patient flow, and administrative tasks in the hospital ED. The role focuses on safe, efficient care and cross‑department coordination.

The ideal candidate will have an MHA or MBA and prior experience coordinating emergency department activities; male candidates are preferred. This position requires strong organizational and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have an MBA or MHA.
• Male candidates with ED coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient flow from triage through treatment, admission, or discharge to minimize wait times.
• Coordinate actively with emergency physicians, triage nurses, the admission desk, and other departments.
• Track beds, equipment, and consumable supplies and escalate shortages as needed.
• Maintain logs of patient arrivals, admissions, transfers, and referrals in the hospital IT system.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and NABH/local regulatory guidelines.

Role & responsibilities :

An Emergency Department (ED) Coordinator manages the daily operational, administrative, and patient-flow activities of a hospital's emergency room to ensure safe and efficient care.

Core Responsibilities

• Patient Flow Management: Monitor patient movement from triage through treatment, admission, or discharge to minimize wait times and bottlenecks.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Communicate and coordinate actively with emergency physicians, triage nurses, the admission desk, and other departments.
• Resource & Bed Management: Track available beds, medical equipment, and consumable supplies, escalating any shortages immediately.
• Administrative & Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate logs of patient arrivals, admissions, transfers, and referrals in the hospital IT/electronic health record system.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to hospital safety standards, standard operating procedures (SOP), and regulatory guidelines (such as NABH or local healthcare standards).
