The Emergency Medicine Consultant will lead the emergency care team, handling a wide range of medical emergencies including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and critical illnesses. This requires quick clinical decision-making, strong leadership, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations. The candidate will ensure timely interventions, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain smooth functioning of the emergency department.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency and critical care patients.
• Manage trauma cases, cardiac emergencies, strokes, poisoning, and other life‑threatening conditions.
• Perform advanced life support procedures including intubation, resuscitation, and airway management.
• Lead and participate in code blue and emergency response teams.
• Stabilize patients and determine appropriate treatment or referral plans.
• Coordinate with specialists, ICU, OT, and other departments for patient management.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including ECG, X‑rays, CT scans, and laboratory reports.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and emergency interventions.
• Ensure timely documentation of patient history, diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes.
• Supervise and guide junior doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.
