Job summary

Aptiv Bengaluru is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Lead to design and implement AUTOSAR Classic software for automotive ECUs, with emphasis on safety, reliability and ASPICE compliance.

You will lead development, testing and integration across CAN/LIN/Ethernet stacks, OTA/bootloader work, and Vector DaVinci toolchains, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global context.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electronics, Electricals, Instrumentation or Computer Science with 6–10 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs across design, development, integration and validation.
• Implement and integrate AUTOSAR-based software components and communication stacks (CAN/LIN/Ethernet).
• Execute software development in alignment with AUTOSAR and ASPICE processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements and delivery objectives.
• Lead testing, debugging and validation to ensure reliability and performance.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability and documentation for audits and maintainability.
• Apply configuration and change management practices using modern tools.
• Uphold software quality through code reviews and static analysis.

Embedded Software Engineer SW Lead Developer – Autosar Classic Help shape the future of mobility. Your Role

• Required Exp: 6yrs to 10Yrs
• Deliver high‑quality embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs across design, development, integration, and validation phases.
• Implement and integrate AUTOSAR‑based software components and automotive communication protocols, ensuring robust interaction with microcontroller architectures.
• Execute software development activities in full alignment with automotive standards and processes, including AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align requirements, software architecture, and delivery objectives with program goals.
• Lead testing, debugging, and validation activities using industry‑standard tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Maintain end‑to‑end requirements traceability and high‑quality technical documentation to support audits, compliance, and long‑term maintainability.
• Apply disciplined configuration and change management practices using modern collaboration and version control tools.
• Uphold software quality through code reviews, static analysis, and continuous adherence to safety and process compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Your Background

• Graduate in BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electronics/ Electricals /Instrumentation /Computer Science) with work experience of 6-10 years
• Hands‑on experience with AUTOSAR Classic Architecture , including end‑to‑end configuration and integration of Communication Stack (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), Memory Stack (NVM, FEE), Diagnostic Stack (DEM, DCM, UDS) and AUTOSAR OS modules (OS, ECUM, BSWM, PowerMod) (OR)
• Proven experience with Software Download (SWDL) and Over‑the‑Air (OTA) update mechanisms, including Bootloader interaction and flashing strategies
• Hands‑on experience with Vector DaVinci tools , particularly DaVinci Configurator and related AUTOSAR configuration workflows
• Strong knowledge of 32‑bit Microcontroller architectures , with hands‑on development experience on: Infineon Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC or ARM‑based automotive MCUs
• Solid understanding of Automotive Product Development lifecycle, including compliance and alignment with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum‑based software development environments , including sprint planning, reviews, and continuous integration practices
• Working experience in one or more Automotive domains : ADAS, Infotainment or Vehicle Gateway systems
