Aptiv in Bengaluru seeks a Software Technical Manager to lead AUTOSAR Classic architectures for Advanced Safety and UX features. You will drive end-to-end software design, oversee SDLC, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality across automotive platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience in automotive software.
• Hands-on AUTOSAR Classic Architecture with configuration and integration of CAN/LIN/Ethernet.
• Experience with bootloader design and OTA updates (5+ years).
• Expertise in automotive cybersecurity, secure boot and secure communication.
• Proficient with Vector DaVinci tools for AUTOSAR configuration.
• Strong 32-bit MCU experience (Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC or ARM).
• Familiar with ASPICE and automotive development life cycle.

Software Technical Manager – Autosar Classic

We’re hiring an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to design and develop our automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. This position is located at TCI Bengaluru.

Your Role

• Required Exp: 14-16 Yrs
• Lead the design and governance of automotive embedded software architectures, including AUTOSAR‑based solutions , ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Define scalable, modular, and reusable architectural patterns, components, and interfaces across automotive platforms using AUTOSAR Classic concepts.
• Drive the full SDLC from requirements through deployment, providing technical oversight to meet quality, schedule, cost, and compliance objectives.
• Apply deep expertise in embedded systems, MCU architectures, AUTOSAR BSW/RTE , and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Establish and oversee testing, debugging, and system validation using tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe , Renesas hardware, and AUTOSAR validation workflows.
• Act as the primary customer interface for software architecture , managing architecture toolchains, evaluating new technologies, and delivering innovative, value‑driven AUTOSAR solutions.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Graduate in BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electronics/ Electricals /Instrumentation /Computer Science) with work experience of 10+ years
• Hands‑on experience with AUTOSAR Classic Architecture , including end-to-end configuration and integration of Communication Stack (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), Memory Stack (NVM, FEE), Diagnostic Stack (DEM, DCM, UDS) and AUTOSAR OS modules (OS, ECUM, BSWM, PowerMod)
• Bootloader experience
  • Proven experience with Software Download (SWDL) and Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms, including Bootloader interaction and flashing strategies
  • Should have at least 5 years of experience working on bootloader design and development.
  • Have deep understanding on memory partitioning and access
• Cybersecurity
  • In-depth understanding of the cryptography concepts and utilization
  • Should have at least 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity
  • Hands‑on experience with implementation of security features like Secure boot, secure update, Secure communication (SecOC, MACSec)
  • Must have exposure to TARA and concept development
• Hands‑on experience with Vector DaVinci tools , particularly DaVinci Configurator and related AUTOSAR configuration workflows
• Strong knowledge of 32‑bit Microcontroller architectures , with hands‑on development experience on: Infineon Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC or ARM-based automotive MCUs
• Solid understanding of Automotive Product Development lifecycle, including compliance and alignment with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum‑based software development environments , including sprint planning, reviews, and continuous integration practices
• Working experience in one or more Automotive domains : ADAS, Infotainment or Vehicle Gateway systems
