Job summary

Quectel in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking a Hardware Applications Engineer to support customers on cellular and non-cellular wireless modules. You will troubleshoot hardware bring-up and provide design solutions aligned with customer applications.

The role requires hands-on lab skills, experience with impedance matching and power interfaces, and collaboration with CPM/FAE teams. Relocation to Pune is expected if not already based there.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on hardware experience.
• Experience with cellular (5G, LTE, NB-IoT, GSM) or non-cellular (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) hardware modules and related design.
• Strong debugging skills using lab equipment to troubleshoot hardware issues and board bring-up.
• Willingness to relocate to Pune, Maharashtra.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hardware AE technical support in debugging and resolving on cellular and non-cellular wireless communication module products for customers.
• Provide reliable HW design solutions to customers according to their actual applications

• Review the SCH and PCB design files of customer's device using EDA tools.
• Support to solve the problems encountered in customer’s devices by utilizing analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Assist customers in hardware related queries and concerns with prompt replies.
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of hands-on industry experience in hardware application engineering, FAE, or embedded hardware design.
• Wireless & Cellular Technology: Direct experience working with cellular (5G, LTE, NB-IoT, GSM) or non-cellular (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) hardware modules, including impedance matching, power supply design, and peripheral interfaces.
• Hardware Debugging: Strong hands-on laboratory skills using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot customer hardware issues and board bring-up problems.
• Location: Must be currently residing in or ready to relocate to Pune, Maharashtra.
