Job description

Headquartered in Singapore, Supreme Components International (SCI) is a global franchised distributor of electronic components, supporting OEM and EMS companies across 12+ countries.

We specialize in solving complex BOM challenges through NPI support, shortage sourcing, and multi-source consolidation. Our strength lies in speed, flexibility, and the ability to mix authorized and non-authorized sources to deliver competitive, executable quotes.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for handling incoming RFQs and converting them into structured, competitive quote sheets for the sales team.

You will work on large BOMs (often 50–300+ line items), analyze multiple sourcing options, and build pricing strategies that allow SCI to win business while protecting margin and supply integrity.

This is not a data entry or coordination role.

This is a high-speed, analytical role that directly impacts revenue, margin, and customer response time.

Key Responsibilities

RFQ & BOM Analysis

• Review RFQs and large BOMs (50–300+ lines)
• Clean and normalize MPNs, brands, quantities
• Identify missing or incorrect data before sourcing
• Source across authorized distributors, brokers, and independent suppliers
• Use ChipsFinder and external tools to identify supply options
• Evaluate pricing, lead time, MOQ, date code, and supplier credibility
• Decide where to mix sources vs stay clean
• Build structured quote sheets for sales
• Benchmark against DigiKey / Mouser or other distributors for NPI
• Decide: aggressive vs defensive pricing, margin vs win trade-offs, and which lines to no-quote
• Ensure quotes are commercially viable, not just “filled”

Speed and Execution Discipline

• Prioritize urgent and high-value BOMs
• Maintain accuracy while working at speed
• Assist the sales team in managing high volumes of enquiries and RFQs
• Prepare Excel reports or order-loading sheets to support internal workflows
• Support internal team members with operational coordination and issue resolution
• Ensure accurate data entry, part number formatting, and packaging information in internal systems
• Act as an operational point of contact to help resolve day-to-day order execution challenges

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics distribution, procurement, sales operations, or supply chain coordination
• Familiarity with electronic components, part numbers, and packaging terminology
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Netsuite, Odoo, or similar
• Strong Excel skills including filtering, lookup formulas, and data organization
• Excellent written English and email communication skills for supplier coordination
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in electronic components, EMS, OEM, or distribution environments is preferred
• Strong understanding of BOM-level sourcing and multi-line RFQs
• Comfortable working with both authorized and non-authorized supply channels
• Strong commercial judgment, not just data processing
