Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited in Vadodara seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to translate thermal calculations into fabrication drawings and BOMs for HP and LP inner casings, diaphragms, shafts and blades. The role involves revamp work and reverse engineering to ensure fit and performance.

You will convert measurements into manufacturing drawings, maintain documentation quality, and support manufacturing and quality teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical from a reputed institute.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD and NX for 2D/3D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of steam turbine is beneficial.
• Team player with engineering judgement.

Responsibilities

• Convert thermal calculations into construction drawings and BOMs for HP & LP inner casings, diaphragms, shaft and blades to meet design specs.
• Reconstruct turbine components during revamp scope with special solutions.
• Translate site measurements/reverse engineering data into manufacturing drawings for flange-to-flange footprint matching.
• Maintain high quality of documentation and drawings and ensure specifications meet design requirements.
• Provide support to manufacturing, shop assembly and quality to resolve critical technical issues.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Experienced in turbine design and revamp engineering, translating thermal calculations and reverse-engineering data into manufacturing drawings and BOMs, while ensuring design quality, technical compliance, and resolution of critical engineering issues.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Responsible to convert all the thermal calculations into construction drawings and Bill of Materials for HP & LP inner casings, stationary diaphragms, turbine shaft & blades, sealing shells, IN ORDER TO meet the design requirements in line with the customer/quality specifications.
• Reconstruction of the turbine components by special solutions during Turbine revamp scope.
• Translate site measurement / reverse engineering data into manufacturing drawings so that flange to flange matching in foot-print replacement is achieved.
• Ensure and maintain the quality of documentation & drawings, ensure adequacy of specifications in order to meet the quality / construction requirements of design.
• Provide support to manufacturing, Shop assembly, Quality, site for resolving critical technical issue by detailed study & root cause analysis.

What You Bring

• B.E. / B. Tech. (Mechanical) from reputed institute.
• 3 Years’ hands on experience & skill set in AutoCAD, NX for 3D modelling as well 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of steam Turbine.
• Team player and able to provide quick solution with engineering judgement
