Job summary

Capital Placement Services Gurgaon seeks an Electrical Project Assistant Manager with 8–10 years of experience in Chemical/Oil & Gas sectors. The role demands hands-on testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 66KV substations, HT/LT equipment, and related switchboards.

Candidate should be adept in NEC/IS standards, electrical drawings, and cross-functional leadership. The position is plant-site based and may include on-site/offline interview modes.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Mid/Large scale Projects in Chemical/Oil & Gas.
• Must have NEC, IS: Indian/International standards knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of Electrical drawings.
• Testing , Commissioning, Maintenance of 66KV substation, LT/HT Equipment.
• Testing , Commissioning, Maintenance H.T Panel, Transformers, MV Switchboards.
• Sandwich Busduct, UPS with batteries, Motors, Lighting Transformer, DG sets.
• Basic knowledge of -Mechanical, Instrument, Civil,
• Must have ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create project plans with timelines and allocate resources.
• Identify resources needed for site execution.
• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials/equipment.
• Manage risks and inspect vendor sites for conformance to design specifications.
• Prepare and present technical and project reports.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of objectives.
• Engage with suppliers, contractors, clients, and team members to understand requirements and present technical solutions.
• Provide guidance to colleague engineers and oversee project teams.
• Ensure safety measures, PTW, risk assessments, and compliance with standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.

1. Project Planning and Execution:

Responsible for creating project plans, setting timelines, allocating resources,

and ensuring the successful execution of Electrical projects within scope and

budget.

Identify the resources needed for project site execution.

Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.

Manage project risks, including mitigation plans

Inspecting vendor sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design

specifications.

Preparing and presenting technical and project reports

2. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

Addressing technical challenges, resolving conflicts, and making critical decisions

to keep projects on track and deliver optimal solutions.

Working with team members and other engineers to implement procedures,

resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure

seamless coordination and alignment of project objectives.

Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, clients, and team members

Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements, present technical

solutions, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide guidance to colleague engineers, oversee project teams, and lead by

example in implementing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.

Maintain project documentation and prepare reports.

Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and

company quality guidelines.

Ensure projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget.

5. Process Improvement and Innovation:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for innovation,

and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance project

efficiency.

6. Quality & Safety Standards

Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and

company quality guidelines.

Should adhere safety measures as a critical aspect of role. Ensure compliance

with safety regulations, conducting PTW, risk assessment, & implementing safety

measures throughout the project Phases.

Ensure project comply with legal and safety standards.
