Job summary

Adani Transmission in Ahmedabad, India seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer with 10–15 years’ experience to lead equipment selection, documentation and HV substation sizing up to 66/132/220kV. You will prepare SLDs, earthing layouts, MCC room layouts, BOQ and vendor bid evaluations, and datasheets for transformers, HT/LT panels, UPS, cables and trays.

Proficiency with ETAP for single-line diagrams and short-circuit/load-flow analyses is required.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10–15 years of work experience in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Select electrical equipment based on process requirements and tender documents.
• <p>Prepare electrical documents including Load Lists, MCC Sizing, SLD, Cable Sizing, Transformer Sizing, Capacitor Sizing, DG Set Sizing, Substation Sizing, and Cable Schedules.</p>
• <p>Develop electrical equipment datasheets for transformers, HT and LT panels, UPS, LCS, cables, and cable trays.</p>
• <p>Preparing, reviewing, and submitting drawings for client/consultant approval, such as earthing layouts, MCC room layouts, cable route layouts, SLDs, and equipment GA layouts.</p>
• <p>Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimations for the electrical systems of the entire plant.</p>
• <p>Participate in preparing detailed vendor scopes and material requisitions as per tender requirements.</p>
• <p>Conduct technical evaluations of bids received from vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications.</p>
• <p>Contribute to ensuring that the design and specifications of high voltage switchyards (AIS) up to 66/132/220kV meet applicable standards and regulations.</p>
• <p>Familiarize with ETAP software for creating single-line diagrams as per ANSI/IEC standards.</p>
• <p>Support in performing short circuit and load flow analyses to optimize electrical system designs.</p>
• <p>Maintain effective communication and coordination with other departments to ensure project requirements are met.</p>
• <p>Assist in updating the team manager on project progress, technical innovations, and emerging trends in electrical engineering.</p>
• <p>Project site, BD, Mining, TCD, P&E, PRMC, Contract Admin, Cement business, Beach Sand Minerals team as internal stakeholders.</p>
• <p>Contractors as external stakeholders.</p>

Electrical Equipment Selection and Specification:

Select electrical equipment based on process requirements, P&ID, and tender documents.

Contribute to scrutinizing the scope of work for electrical components to ensure project alignment.

Preparation of Electrical Documentation:
