Job summary

Lifenity Health in India seeks an experienced BE Electrical engineer for a challenging project at Shendra MIDC. The role involves independent ownership from concept to commissioning for medical device/pharma plant electrical systems, including LV/MV distribution, UPS, and BMS/EMS integration.

Candidate should have 8–10 years in medical/pharma environments, knowledge of HMI/SCADA, and experience with cleanrooms and hazardous-area compliance.

Requirement of BE Electrical engineer for the project at Shendra MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Job Description:

• Good exposure in greenfield and brownfield projects for Medical device / Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
• Manage project independently complete ownership from concept to commissioning and to fulfil the statutory requirements
• Perform pre-order and post-order engineering activities.
• Determine basic engineering details w.r.t high voltage electrical infrastructure including HT yard, transformers, ELVS, and Fire safety, review and provide recommendation to technical datasheets, layouts and design parameters.
• Power Distribution & Design: Design and specify low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) distribution systems, substations, switchgears, transformers, cabling, APFC, PCC, MCC and panel boards for cleanrooms, production, utility plants and facility.
• Emergency & Backup Power Systems: Design and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and diesel generators to prevent power loss in critical environments (e.g., cleanrooms, cold storage, process requirement).
• Cleanroom & Hazardous Area Compliance: Ensure electrical fixtures, lighting, and conduit installations comply with cleanroom standards (ISO 14644) and explosive/hazardous area classifications (ATEX/NEC Class I, Div 1 & 2 for solvent handling).
• Earthing & Lightning Protection: Implement specialized grounding systems to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) in sensitive manufacturing environments
• Having knowledge of HMI, PLC, SCADA systems.
• Building Management System (BMS)and EMS: Oversee electrical integration with BMS and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) to continuously track HVAC, cleanroom pressure differentials, temperature, and humidity.
• Field Instrumentation: Select, calibrate, and loop-test electrical sensors, transmitters (flow, pressure, temperature), actuators, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Qualification, Validation & Compliance (GMP Environment)

• Design & Execution of Qualification Protocols: Author and execute test protocols for electrical and automation systems addition to URS preparation.
• DQ (Design Qualification): Verifying design against user requirements (URS).
• IQ (Installation Qualification): Verifying correct installation per engineering drawings.
• OQ (Operational Qualification): Verifying operational performance under normal and failure modes.
• PQ (Performance Qualification): Demonstrating consistent performance during actual operational runs.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Draft SOPs for maintenance, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), electrical safety, and emergency operations

Maintenance, Reliability, Risk & Safety Management

• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Create and execute PM schedules for critical electrical infrastructure and utility / process machinery to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigate electrical failures, equipment trips, or deviations, issuing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Safety Protocols: Implement Arc Flash studies, electrical safety programs, and LOTO procedures to protect personnel.
• Risk Management: Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards to end-users.
• Floating enquiries, RFQ, bidding process and support to prepare tender documents.
• Perform techno-commercial evaluation and negotiation for tender packages.
• Evaluate existing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings practices.
• Managing communication with the cross-functional teams, consultant, vendor to optimize project deliverables.
• Lead planning and execution to achieve project goas and objectives.
• Closeout project with regulatory compliance and validate document and keep track record.

Required Skills & Qualification:

Education -B.E Electrical

Experience 8-10 years in the project and maintenance activity in Medical / pharmaceutical industry

Good exposure in greenfield and brownfield projects for Medical device / Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

Having knowledge of HMI, PLC, SCADA systems.
