Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maximize asset reliability at our plastic molding facility in India. You will lead installation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of production machinery including injection, blow, and extrusion systems.

You will design preventive maintenance plans, lead retrofits, and mentor technicians to eliminate downtime, with a strong emphasis on safety, LOTO compliance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in electrical maintenance, specifically in plastic molding.
• Technical Skills: Read complex electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams; troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery.
• Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts or on-call emergency breakdowns.
• Downtime reduction: Proven RCA experience to resolve recurring failures.

Responsibilities

• Machine Troubleshooting: diagnose and repair electrical faults on molding machines, molds, utility, and auxiliary equipment.
• Component Repair: repair temperature controllers, hot runner systems, heater bands, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): execute scheduled PM tasks, inspect electrical panels, and update equipment logs.
• Shift Handovers: provide detailed logs of ongoing issues and completed repairs to incoming shift teams.
• Safety & Compliance: enforce LOTO protocols and ensure compliance with local electrical safety norms.
• Inventory Management: oversee high-value electrical spares to ensure continuous availability of critical components.

In this role, he will design strategic preventative maintenance plans, lead equipment retrofits, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to eliminate critical downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Troubleshooting:Diagnose and repair electrical faults on the molding machines, molds , utility, and auxiliary equipment

Required Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering,
• Experience:5+ years of electrical maintenance experience, specifically within aplastic molding plant.
• Technical Skills:Strong ability to read complex electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery.
• Shift Flexibility:Willingness to work rotating shifts or handle on-call emergency breakdowns.
• Downtime reduction: A proven history of utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to permanently resolve repetitive equipment failures.
