Job summary

Pragati Polymers is seeking a Maintenance Engineer/Executive with a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering to oversee preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance for plastic & polymer manufacturing operations in Bidadi.

The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting injection moulding, blow moulding, EBM, IBM and ISBM machinery, along with electrical panels, motors, PLCs and sensors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–8 years of maintenance experience in plastic/polymer packaging or moulding industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, EBM, IBM and ISBM machines.
• Handle maintenance of motors, electrical panels, VFDs, PLCs, sensors and control systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Ensure optimum machine uptime and reduce breakdowns.
• Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance checklists.
• Maintain machine history, breakdown records and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for smooth operations.
• Support automation and assembly equipment maintenance, including conveyors, pick‑and‑place and vision systems.
• Follow safety procedures, LOTO practices and 5S standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability and productivity.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer/Executive with Electrical or Mechanical background and hands‑on experience in the Plastic & Polymer Manufacturing Industry. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, breakdown and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.

Qualification

Experience

• 3–8 years of maintenance experience in Plastic, Polymer, Packaging or Moulding Industry.
• Experience in Injection Moulding and/or Blow Moulding is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLC, VFD, motors, sensors and electrical panels.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Exposure to plastic processing and polymer manufacturing machinery.
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Good problem‑solving and teamwork skills.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in rigid plastic packaging, PET/HDPE products, injection moulding, EBM, IBM or ISBM manufacturing.
