Job summary

Frontier Alloy Steels Ltd. in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, is seeking a technically competent Electrical Engineer to join our Foundry Maintenance Team.

You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical systems of ARC Furnaces, Electric Furnaces, cranes, and associated control panels to ensure reliable plant operation. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with experience in Foundry/Steel or heavy manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering required.
• Relevant experience in Foundry/Steel Plant/Heavy Engineering/Manufacturing Industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Industrial Electrical Maintenance and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of foundry plant & equipment.
• Maintain ARC Furnace electrical panels, control systems and cables.
• Monitor electrical parameters and identify faults to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot EOT cranes, motors, VFDs and PLC-controlled systems.
• Plan preventive maintenance and manage electrical shutdowns.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety and 5S standards.

Job description

Frontier Alloy Steels Ltd. is looking for a technically competent and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Foundry Maintenance Team at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.

POSITION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected candidate will be responsible for the complete electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and reliable operation of Foundry Plant & Equipment, including:

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of ARC Furnace
• Maintenance of furnace electrical panels, control systems, cables and associated equipment
• Monitoring electrical parameters and identifying faults
• Minimizing electrical breakdowns and equipment downtime
• Electrical maintenance of Electric Furnaces
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Heat Treatment Machines and their electrical/control systems
• Preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and control panels
• Electrical maintenance of EOT Cranes and material handling equipment
• Troubleshooting of crane motors, control panels, contactors, brakes, limit switches and control circuits

Complete Foundry Electrical Maintenance

• Preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems
• Maintenance of HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, transformers, motors, DG sets and electrical distribution systems
• Troubleshooting of VFDs, PLCs, sensors, control panels and automation-related electrical faults
• Maintenance of industrial lighting and electrical utility systems
• Inspection of electrical installations and identification of potential failure points
• Planning and execution of electrical shutdown and preventive maintenance activities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze recurring electrical breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and equipment history
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Production, Quality and other departments for smooth plant operations
• Ensure timely availability of critical electrical spares
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety, 5S and plant safety standards
• Ensure reliable power supply and maximum availability of critical production equipment

QUALIFICATION

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience in Foundry / Steel Plant / Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing Industry will be preferred.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
