Job summary

Vandana Global (VGL) is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for on-site work in Raipur, India. You will lead shift maintenance for FAU furnaces, motors, panels and drives, ensuring production uptime and safe operations.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 3+ years in a steel/ferro alloy plant. Diploma candidates with relevant experience may be considered. Strong troubleshooting, maintenance planning and team coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Electrical & Instrumentation/Production Eng or equivalent.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered with experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical shift maintenance for FAU furnaces, ancillary units, machinery and equipment.
• Handle preventive, breakdown and ad-hoc electrical maintenance.
• Manage technicians/operators, manpower allocation, work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot HT/LT systems, motors, transformers, panels, drives and furnace-related electrical equipment.
• Ensure timely maintenance with minimum impact on production.
• Maintain maintenance records, KPIs, reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations, Technical Services, Purchase, Stores, vendors and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, SOPs, PTW/LOTO and statutory requirements.
• Support cost reduction, process improvement and maintenance optimization.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates with relevant Diploma in Electrical Engineering may also be considered based on experience.

Preferred:

3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a Steel Plant / Ferro Alloy Plant, preferably with SAF/Ferro Alloy Furnace experience.
