Job summary

Greytip Software Private Limited seeks an Electrical Engineer in Maintenance to oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems in transformer manufacturing. The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical equipment, drives, heating systems, and safety compliance to ensure reliable plant operations.

Key tasks include maintenance of winding machines, EOT cranes, ovens and furnaces; diagnosing VFD issues; updating drawings and logs; and supporting installation and testing

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in transformer/manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EOT cranes, VFDs, ovens, furnaces and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdown maintenance effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems for winding machines, EOT cranes, ovens and furnaces.
• Minimise downtime via troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Operate, inspect and troubleshoot EOT cranes, control panels and power supply systems.
• Maintain heating ovens/furnaces, temp controllers, thermocouples and SSRs.
• Support installation, commissioning and testing of new machines and electrical systems.

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems supporting transformer manufacturing operations. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in electrical equipment, drives, heating systems, and safety compliance to ensure reliable and safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Breakdown Handling

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems for winding machines, EOT cranes, ovens, and furnaces.
• Ensure minimum downtime through timely troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Operate, inspect, and troubleshoot EOT cranes, including control panels, limit switches, hooters, safety interlocks, and power supply systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot heating ovens and furnaces, including temperature controllers, thermocouples, SSRs, and associated power circuits.
• Ensure accurate temperature control and safe operation of heating equipment.

Drives & Automation

• Diagnose and resolve VFD‑related issues, including parameter configuration, fault analysis, motor tuning, and communication errors.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and lockout–tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain and update electrical drawings, SOPs, maintenance logs, and spare parts records.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and modification of new machines and electrical systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within transformer / manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EOT cranes, VFDs, ovens, furnaces, and industrial electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety practices and statutory compliance.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdown maintenance effectively.
