Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Lead Designer (Electrical) in Bengaluru to drive electrical design for an oil & gas EPC project. You will develop arrangement and detail drawings, create 3D models, and ensure deliverables meet project standards and schedules.

You will review vendor drawings, interface with other disciplines, and extract MTOs for cables, trays, and earthing while maintaining adherence to international codes and client procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas EPC projects.
• Experience with electrical design deliverables and MTO extraction.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Designer (Electrical) for the project.
• Prepare arrangement and detail conceptual drawings for Electrical discipline.
• Develop 3D models with inter-disciplinary checks.
• Review 3D models and extract MTOs from layouts.
• Prepare and review 3D model, detailed design and as-built drawings.

Job description

• Acting as a Lead Designer (Electrical) for the project.
• Prepare and develop arrangement and detail conceptual drawings for Electrical discipline
• Key Indicators FEED, studies, and detail design drawings of high technical quality and professional consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease of construction.
• Develop 3D models maintaining inter-disciplinary checks with all other disciplines.
• Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued as per project specifications
• Study and understand the E&I design scope of work. Need to be conversant with Company and Client procedures, standards and applicable international codes and standards
• Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for discipline designs and drawings
• Should be capable of independently review 3D models, extracting cable. cable tray MTO, earthing MTO from respective layout drawings.
• Assist Discipline Lead in preparing estimates for proposals and job scope changes, including execution statements, work schedules, and man-hour requirements
• Prepare and review Discipline deliverables such as:
• 3D model
• Detailed design drawings
• As-built drawings
• MTO extraction and Preparation
• To support the import and export of reference model to PDMS / E3D from vendor inputs.
• Review of vendor drawings deliverables which are to be made in line with project requirements.
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance to applicable codes and standards.
• Knowledge on AVEVA Electrical , AVEVA Instrumentation will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
• Degree: Diploma/Bachelor in Electrical
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience in oil and gas industry
• Prior work experience in EPCs, Engineering Consultancies
