Job summary

Samsung E & A India is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead detail engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects. You will perform calculations, prepare specifications, data sheets, and SLDs, and coordinate with other teams and vendors.

The role requires strong knowledge of international codes and experience with ETAP, Navis Works, and lighting calculations using SPEL or Dialux. Field engineering and commissioning exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Around 10–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience with electrical design documentation and standards.

Responsibilities

• Interact with other Teams/ Departments for Detail engineering activities
• Perform Engineering calculation, prepare specification & data sheets, Single Line Diagrams, Electrical layouts, cable schedule, interconnection diagram, MTOs.
• Work with ETAP for Power System studies like Load flow, Short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis and relay coordination.
• Handle Procurement engineering including Requisitions/ TBE/VDR of major Electrical equipment, coordination with vendor/ Client, FAT participation.
• Review / monitor the activities of Junior Engineer/ Designers
• Model Review in Navis Works or equivalent tool
• Knowledge of International Codes & Standards
• Experience in Construction Support/ Field Engineering/ Pre-commissioning/ Commissioning is desirable
• Familiar with ISO/Quality control procedures
• Familiar with SPEL, Dialux or similar tool for Lighting calculation, MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint
