Job summary

Conserve Solutions LLP in Chennai seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead delivery of electrical designs for complex projects. You will prepare documentation, review vendor drawings, and coordinate with senior engineers to meet scope, cost and schedule.

Candidates should hold a Diploma/B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience and be proficient in ETAP, DIALUX and lighting software; familiarity with Oil & Gas, Petrochemical sectors and Indian/international codes is

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with ETAP, DIALUX and lighting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation for project execution (design criteria, calculations, SLDs, data sheets).
• Produce electrical deliverables: schematics, cable schedules, MCCs/DBs, load lists, termination schedules.
• Coordinate with Lead Electrical Engineer and other disciplines to meet project objectives.
• Review vendor/shop drawings for conformity with engineering designs.
• Manage progress of electrical work per project scope, schedule and procedures.
• Assist Lead Electrical Engineer with scope, cost and schedule deliverables.
• Check circuit diagrams and interlocks for switchboards.
• Exposure in preparation of interconnection diagrams and cable schedules.
• Modeling activities, load flow analysis, and layout design (equipment, cable tray, grounding).

Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, subject to the approval of the Lead Electrical Engineer, technical documentation required for the execution of the project, including but not limited to design criteria,design calculations, system studies, technical / standard specifications, SLDs, grounding/lightning/lighting design, lists& schedules, data sheets, package engineering, as-built documentation, detail drawings etc
• Strong experience in SPEL database to produce Electrical Deliverables Standard Schematics, Cable Schedules, SLDs MCCs & DBs, Load Lists, Termination schedules,MTO etc.
• Provide input to intra /inter discipline on timely basis to meet discipline / project objective
• Review vendor /shop drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designs.
• Manage and coordinate with the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers the progress of the engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule and procedures.
• Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
• Checking of circuit diagrams and interlocks for switchboards.
• Exposure in preparation of Interconnection, Cable Schedule and Interconnection Diagrams.
• HT and LT Cable sizing and cable schedule.
• Able to handle modelling activities.
• Load list and load flow analysis.
• Electrical Equipment layout, Cable tray layout, Cable routing layout, Lighting layout and Earthing layout etc.
• Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer to measure, on a monthly basis, the progress of the engineering work packages to ensure that project budgets and schedules are being met. Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer in implementing corrective action as required.
• Assist the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers in reviewing the outcome of quality audits of engineering work and perform remedial work in accordance with the project procedures and the quality assurance plan.
• Assist the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers in ensuring that the checking of documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is implemented in accordance with project procedures.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, with 8 + years of relevant industry experience.
• Master s Degree in Engineering (M.E./M.Tech) shall be an added advantage
• Conversant with ETAP, SEL. DIALUX and other Lighting software.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer industries is preferred.
• Shall be well versed with Indian & International codes.
