Job summary

Godrej Enterprises Group is seeking an experienced engineer to lead primary and secondary engineering design activities across cable sizing, lighting, HVAC layout and power distribution. You will provide technical support, audit project drawings, and drive standards through organizational initiatives like IMS and GRACE.

Essential qualifications include a diploma or degree in engineering with relevant experience in EHV projects and substation design.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience for degree holders; 4 years for diploma holders with relevant experience.
• Preferred: 4+ years for degree holders; 6+ years for diploma holders.
• GIS & AIS Substation experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary and Secondary Engineering design activities including cable design, lighting design and layout.
• Technical support and audit for Tender Stage Estimation and review of structural drawings and designs.
• Organizational imperatives: drive Business Excellence, IMS, GRACE and ensure statutory compliance.

Job Description

• 1. Primary and Secondary Engineering design activities. Cable Design - Sizing Calculation (LT & HT), Trench Sizing calculation, Cable routing drawing, Cable Schedule and Termination Schedule. Lighting design - Lux level design, Lighting distribution drawing, Conduit Layout. Air Conditioning Design - Heat load calculation, AC sizing and Layout and Power distribution. Layout Engineering - Basic SLD, Layout, Sections, Clearance Diagrams, Structural Layout, Foundation and Cable Trench Layout, EKD etc. GIS Equipment (33 kV to 400 kV), 765 kV will be a added qualification. AIS Equipment - CB, CT, CVT, PT, Isolator, LA, WT etc. Auxiliary Items - Erection Hardware Items, LT AC & DC Dist Boards, Battery and Battery Chargers, Misc Dist. Boards. Control & Protection System, PLCC / FOTE communication system, Substation Automation system. Firefighting System - Pumping and Hydrant system, HVWS system, NIFPES
• 2. Technical support and audit - Tender Stage Estimation for EHV Substation Project and Solar Project. - Reviewing Structural drawing and design of Pre-Engineered Building - Review of Design & Drawing received from consultant. - Review of BOQ w.r.t. Tender and Design Drawing.
• 3. Organizational Imperatives - Driving organization wide initiatives like Business Excellence, IMS, GRACE. - Understanding and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and internal processes.

• Preferred : - Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project. - Sound knowledge of technical aspects of EHV, power distribution system and installation projects
