Job summary

Aarvee Engineering in Hyderabad, India seeks a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to handle detailed electrical designs, SLDs, and BIM coordination. The role requires strong knowledge of design calculations for substation equipment sizing, MV/LV panels, and lighting design using BIM tools.

You will coordinate MEP works across civil, mechanical, and ELV disciplines. The position emphasizes BIS/IEC/IEEE rules compliance, BIS standards, and cost-conscious technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge on Electrical detailed designs, BIS/IEC/IEEE rules.
• Experience in design calculations for substation equipment sizing and cable sizing.
• Hands-on experience with BIM software (REVIT) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Project DBR preparation, understand contract scope and interfaces, assess risks.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs, SLDs, and BOMs with cost provisions.
• Develop GFC drawings for Electrical Lighting, Power, HVAC, Fire, ELV, and MEP layouts.

Job description

1. Project DBR preparation, Understanding the nature of contract, scope, interfaces, design risks, balancing between technical matters and BOQ/ Cost provisions.
2. Should have strong technical knowledge on Electrical detailed designs, HVAC design calculations, fire fighting designs, ELV designs, Single line diagrams, preparation of Detailed technical specifications, BOQs and costing.
3. Expertise in Design calculations for substation equipment sizing, MV& LV panel designs, Power cable sizing, Earthing resistances and sizing, Lightning protection risk studies, Lighting design using DIALux, DG set, UPS, APFC system designs, cable trays calculations
4. Preparation of development, detailed GFC drawings / Shopd rawings for Electrical Lighting, Power, UPS,HVAC, Fire, ELV, Cable tray, Earthing, lightning, conduiting/ wiring drawings etc
5. Should have knowledge to refer, review, understand, interpret and comment on drawings/ layouts of civil (RCC, Steel framed, Deck slabs, Tunnels etc..), Mechanical (Equipment layouts, Piping, HVAC, PHE, Fire protection etc..), ELV (Control system, BMS SCADA, Fire alarm, CCTV, Public addressing, Filed instrumentation etc)

1. Electrical designs, single line diagram ,MEP designs, Should be conversant with Hands on overview / working knowledge on BIM software such as REVIT and 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD
2. Should be thorough and conversant with BIS, IEC, IEEE, NBC, CPWD, CBIP, IE & CEA rules, AP/TS SOR
