Larsen & Toubro in India is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design and review electrical layouts, MV/LV schematics, and project specifications in line with engineering standards.

You will prepare BOQs, RFQs, perform load distribution calculations, and coordinate with CAD/BIM teams to deliver detailed drawings and models for the tender and construction phases.

Formación

• Designs electrical layouts and schematics per project requirements and standards.
• Knowledge of IEC/IS/BS/IEEE/NEC and local codes.

Responsabilidades

• Design and create electrical layouts, MV/LV schematics, and specifications in alignment with project requirements and engineering standards
• Review and interpret Electrical Diagrams and Schematics to integrate electrical systems within the overall process design
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and RFQs for electrical systems for project tenders
• Perform calculations to determine optimal power distribution and load balancing across electrical systems
• Analyzing cable voltage drops, fault currents, Transformer, DG & UPS capacities, and short-circuit calculations for Electrical systems
• Conduct electrical load analysis to evaluate flexibility and mechanical integrity of electrical systems, including cables, conduits, and supports
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with industry codes and standards and local regulations
• Continuously maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, firefighting, and instrumentation engineers for seamless integration
• Engage with contractors and vendors for design reviews, procurement, and installation drawings
• Collaborate with CAD and BIM engineers to produce detailed electrical design drawings and 3D models
• Prepare detailed project progress reports, technical documents, and presentations for stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date records of electrical designs, material certifications, inspection reports, and other docs
• Assist CAD/BIM engineers in creating standardized libraries, templates, and 3D models for electrical systems
• Continuous knowledge enhancement of electrical technologies and standards
