Thompsons HR Consulting Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer with hands-on experience in drafting and designing cable tray layouts, switchgear and substation layouts for power plants. Proficiency in E3D/SP3D and AutoCAD is required, with knowledge of Indian and international codes.

You will interface with Civil, Mechanical, and C&I teams to deliver 3D models and layouts. The role focuses on equipment layouts for Switchgear buildings, transformers, GIS/AIS up to 400 kV,

Formación

• Hands-on drafting and designing of electrical layouts for power plants
• Experience with cable tray, switchgear, lighting and substation layouts
• Modeling in 3D platforms (E3D/SP3D) and use of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Indian and international codes is required

Responsabilidades

• Prepare equipment layout for switchgear buildings, transformer and switchyard (GIS/AIS upto 400 kV)
• Prepare single-line diagrams, metering and protection, logic diagrams
• Prepare cable tray, duct bank, trench layouts and BOM
• Prepare cable tray support drawings and BOM
• Prepare lighting layout and earthing layout
• Prepare lightning protection layout
• Interface with Civil, Mechanical, and C&I disciplines
• Model equipment, trays, duct banks, and cables in 3D (E3D, SP3D)
• Prepare lighting calculations
• Vendor drawing reviews
• Adhere to quality guidelines and codes

Qualification - Diploma in Electrical

Hands on experience in drafting and designing Cable tray out, Switchgear layout, Lighting Layout, Substation layout using E3D and hands on experience in AutoCAD with experience in Thermal Power plants, Combined Cycle Power Plant, Coal Power plants or any other power plant.

• Preparation of Cable tray support drawing and BOM
