Job summary

Jakson Group seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering professional for utility-scale solar ground-mount projects, BESS, and power-system engineering in India. You will lead electrical design, equipment sizing, grid integration, and provide technical support for renewable energy installations.

The role involves detailed design reviews, BOQ preparation, bid support, and ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE/IS standards and grid codes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for utility-scale solar ground-mounted plants and BESS projects.
• Ability to perform grid study analyses, load flow, short circuit, and reactive power assessments.
• Strong skills in equipment sizing and transformer/inverter/HT-LT switchgear selection.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical design and engineering for ground-mounted solar PV and BESS projects.
• Review SLDs, layouts, vendor documents, and technical specifications.
• Carry out grid studies, load flow, short circuit, and reactive power assessments.
• Size electrical equipment including transformers, inverters, switchgear, cables, UPS, batteries, and earthing.
• Prepare optimized BOQs for ground mount solar, pooling substations, and BESS installations.
• Support pre-bid engineering, bid evaluation, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with clients, EPC teams, vendors, and procurement for technical closure and execution.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, CEA, grid codes, and DISCOM requirements.
• Support PV array layouts, string configuration, DC/AC collection systems, and pooling substations.
• Participate in commissioning and performance optimization of utility-scale renewable projects.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering professional with expertise in Utility-Scale Solar Ground Mount Projects, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Power System Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for electrical design, engineering, equipment sizing, grid integration, and technical support for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed electrical design and engineering for Ground Mounted Solar PV Plants and BESS Projects.
• Review technical specifications, single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and vendor documents.
• Carry out grid study analysis, load flow studies, short circuit studies, and reactive power compensation assessments.
• Design and size electrical equipment including Power Transformers, Inverters, HT/LT Switchgear, CT/PTs, AC/DC Cables, UPS Systems, Batteries, and Earthing Systems.
• Prepare optimized BOQs for Ground Mount Solar Projects, pooling substations, transmission lines, and BESS installations.
• Support pre-bid engineering, technical bid evaluation, and cost optimization activities.
• Coordinate with clients, EPC teams, vendors, and procurement teams for technical closure and project execution.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE Standards, CEA Regulations, Grid Codes, and DISCOM/Utility Requirements.
• Support design and execution of PV Array Layouts, String Configuration, Inverter Sizing, DC Collection Systems, AC Evacuation Systems, and Pooling Substations.
• Participate in commissioning and performance optimization of utility‑scale renewable energy projects.
