Job summary

Uppteam in India is seeking a Design Engineer to coordinate with the Project Manager and senior technical staff to deliver electrical design tasks. You will be responsible for designing low voltage systems, distribution, earthing, protective schemes, and cabling layouts for projects.

The role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, good teamwork, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience on US projects is preferred. This position is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager and Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer for on-time delivery of tasks.
• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.
• Act as Electrical Lead/Sub-Lead depending on project scope.
• Coordinate design efforts with other groups and maintain project records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews.
• Design LV switchboards, LV sub-main cabling, distribution, and containment.
• Design power distribution to mechanical and public health equipment.
• Design earthing and bonding installations.
• Design lightning protection, lighting, lighting control, and emergency lighting.
• Prepare electrical preliminary calculations.
• Perform load calculations.
• Perform wire sizing and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare electrical enlarged room plans/sections.
• Possess excellent electrical knowledge with expertise in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Should have experience working on US projects.

Expected to be a good team player within the design team, the Design Engineer will:
