Job summary

Vithaverse Technologies Thane is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Maharashtra to develop SLDs, layouts, and detailed design calculations for LT/HT and MV systems. You will coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and SCADA teams, review vendor drawings, and prepare documentation for substations and industrial plants.

The role requires experience with LT/HT systems, transformers, switchgear and IS/IEC standards, with a focus on accuracy and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 24 years of electrical design experience.
• Good knowledge of SLD, electrical layouts, design calculations and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of LT/HT systems, transformers, switchgear, cables and substations.
• Knowledge of ETAP and IS/IEC standards will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, documentation and coordination skills.
• Design-oriented candidates with a willingness to learn and grow in consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop SLDs for LT/HT/MV electrical systems.
• Prepare electrical layouts, equipment layouts, cable routing layouts and cable schedules.
• Perform design calculations (transformer sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, equipment sizing, earthing, illumination).
• Develop documents for MV/HV/EHV substations, pumping stations, WTP/STP and other facilities.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation and SCADA disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure electrical design compliance.
• Maintain engineering deliverables and review drawings for accuracy.

Role & responsibilities

Electrical Design & Engineering

• Prepare and develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for LT/HT/MV electrical systems.
• Prepare electrical layouts, equipment layouts, cable routing layouts and cable schedules.
• Prepare electrical design calculations including:
  • Transformer sizing
  • Cable sizing
  • Voltage-drop calculations
  • Short-circuit calculations
  • Equipment sizing
  • Earthing calculations
  • Illumination calculations
• Develop electrical engineering documents for MV/HV/EHV substations, pumping stations, WTP/STP, industrial plants, infrastructure and other electrical systems.
• Work on 33kV/66kV/132kV/220/400kV AIS/GIS substation engineering as per project requirements.
• Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets and technical documentation.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering drawings and documentation.
• Ensure design documents comply with applicable IS, IEC and client-specific standards/specifications.

Design Coordination & Review

• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation and SCADA disciplines for multidisciplinary design requirements.
• Review electrical interfaces with other disciplines and ensure proper coordination.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documents from an electrical design perspective.
• Incorporate comments received from senior engineers and clients into design deliverables.
• Participate in internal design reviews and technical discussions.
• Identify design discrepancies, clashes and technical issues and propose appropriate solutions.

Engineering Documentation

• Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables as per project requirements.
• Maintain design calculations, drawing registers and document revisions.
• Review drawings and calculations for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Assist senior engineers in developing design philosophies, system architecture and technical solutions.

Preferred candidate profile
