Job summary

Uppteam seeks a Design Engineer to coordinate with the Project Manager and senior engineering staff to deliver scheduled electrical designs. You will provide calculations and drawings, lead design reviews, and ensure quality and compliance across projects.

You will design LV switchboards, power distribution for mechanical/public health equipment, and earthing systems, using AutoCAD and Revit, with exposure to US projects. A Bachelors in Electrical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager and Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer to deliver scheduled design tasks.
• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.
• Act as Electrical Lead/Sub-Lead depending on project scope.
• Coordinate design efforts with other groups and maintain project records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews.
• Design LV switchboards and LV sub-main cabling, distribution, and containment.
• Design power distribution to mechanical and public health equipment.
• Design earthing and bonding installations.
• Design lightning protection, lighting, lighting control, and emergency lighting.
• Prepare electrical preliminary calculations.
• Perform load calculations.
• Perform wire sizing and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare electrical enlarged room plans/sections.
• Possess excellent electrical knowledge with expertise in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Should have experience working on US projects.

Expected to be a good team player within the design team, the Design Engineer will:
