Qpro Design Consultants seeks a skilled electrical design engineer to prepare and review electrical drawings for building projects in Chennai. The role involves designing HT/LT systems, SLDs, load/cable calculations, and electrical panels, while coordinating with HVAC, plumbing, and architectural teams.

Responsibilities include design reviews, site visits, and ensuring compliance with NBC, IS, IEC standards.

Competenze

• Experience in consultancy projects across commercial, residential, IT/office, institutional and hospitality sectors.
• Knowledge of large-scale Building Services / MEP projects.

Mansioni

• Prepare and review electrical design drawings for building projects.
• Design and review HT/LT electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and small power systems.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load schedules, panel schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop and short-circuit calculations.
• Design and review requirements for Transformers, DG Sets, UPS, APFC panels and electrical panels.
• Design and review earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, IBMS and Architectural teams.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents.
• Conduct design coordination meetings with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Attend site visits and resolve electrical design and coordination issues.
• Ensure designs comply with NBC, IS, IEC standards and local regulations.
• Review contractor submissions and provide technical comments.
• Support projects from concept design through detailed design and construction stages.
• Guide and support junior engineers and CAD/BIM team members.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
