Job summary

Unique Electro Engineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for commercial buildings and MEP projects. You will independently prepare electrical drawings, calculations, BOQs, and submit technical documents, coordinating with consultants and project execution teams.

The role requires preparing SLDs, layouts, load calculations, and BOQs, while reviewing drawings and ensuring compliance with standards. Collaboration with site teams and vendors is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical design or MEP projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and detailed design drawings.
• Prepare lighting, power, cable routing, containment, earthing, and lightning protection layouts.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage-drop calculations.
• Prepare load schedules, DB schedules, and panel schedules.
• Select and size LT panels, DBs, cables, transformers, DG sets, UPS, and other electrical equipment.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and technical specifications.
• Review tender drawings, consultant drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Prepare and revise shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, clients, vendors, procurement, and site execution teams.
• Resolve design-related queries raised by site teams.
• Prepare drawings and technical documents for client and consultant approvals.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications and applicable electrical standards.
• Maintain drawing revisions and approval records.

Candidate Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical design or MEP projects.
• Experience with MEP contractors, electrical contractors, or MEP consultants is preferred.
• Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, malls, hospitals, or similar projects will be an advantage.
• Ability to independently read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Good technical, coordination, and communication skills.
