Job summary

Euro India Fresh Foods in Gujarat is seeking an Electrical & Maintenance Executive to ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems, production machinery and plant utilities at our Chikhli manufacturing facility.

You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, machine upkeep and maintain maintenance documentation to minimise production downtime, while working hands-on on the shop floor in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 23 years of relevant experience in electrical/plant maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays and control circuits.
• Basic knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, panels, motors and control circuits.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Attend electrical breakdowns on production lines and plant equipment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically sound and hands-on Electrical & Maintenance Executive to support the smooth and reliable operation of electrical systems, production machinery and plant utilities at our Chikhli manufacturing facility.

The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, machine upkeep, inspections and maintenance documentation, while ensuring minimum production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, panels, motors, starters, control systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns on production lines and plant equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
• Monitor electrical equipment for abnormal heating, noise, vibration or performance issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MCC panels, distribution panels, control panels and electrical circuits.
• Handle basic troubleshooting of sensors, switches, relays, contactors and other electrical components.
• Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power distribution and other plant electrical systems.
• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of new electrical equipment and machinery.

Machine & Production Maintenance

• Carry out routine maintenance of production and packaging machinery.
• Coordinate with production teams to identify machine-related issues affecting output.
• Attend machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operational condition with minimum downtime.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and report them to the reporting manager.
• Assist in machine installation, shifting and commissioning activities.
• Maintain records of machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.

Preventive Maintenance

• Follow the plant's preventive maintenance schedule for electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and equipment history.
• Ensure timely replacement of worn-out electrical components and consumables.
• Support maintenance planning during scheduled production shutdowns.

Utilities & Plant Support

• Assist in maintenance of plant utilities and electrical infrastructure.
• Monitor electrical supply and identify issues affecting production operations.
• Support maintenance of compressors, pumps, motors and other utility equipment.
• Coordinate with external technicians and service providers when specialised maintenance is required.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all electrical and plant safety procedures.
• Ensure safe isolation and proper electrical safety practices during maintenance work.
• Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
• Report unsafe electrical conditions or equipment immediately.
• Support compliance with plant safety and maintenance SOPs.

Documentation

• Maintain daily maintenance and breakdown records.
• Record spare parts and components used for maintenance activities.
• Maintain equipment maintenance history.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports and downtime records.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in FMCG, food processing, food & beverage or manufacturing plants will be preferred.
• Experience working with automated production or packaging machinery will be an advantage.
• Should be comfortable working in a plant environment.
• Should be willing to work in shifts when required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Candidates available to join within a short notice period will be preferred.
