Job summary

Happilo International is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Karnataka. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant machinery to minimize downtime, troubleshoot PLC systems, VFDs, HMI, and SCADA, and ensure safety compliance and proper documentation.

You will lead electrical installation projects, plant upgrades, and automation improvements, while supporting plant utilities and maintaining critical spares.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years industrial experience, preferably FMCG/Food & Beverages/Pharma.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), SCADA, and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on electrical maintenance and panel wiring experience.
• Knowledge of VFDs, motor starters, and servos for high-speed packaging.
• Root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Reading/writing SLDs with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: perform PM and Predictive Maintenance on plant machinery to minimize breakdown time.
• Troubleshooting: troubleshoot PLC systems, VFDs, HMI, SCADA, motors, and packaging machinery.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations including LOTO and PPE.
• Project Engineering: lead electrical installation projects, plant upgrades, and automation improvement initiatives.
• Utility Support: maintain transformers, generators, switchgears, and HVAC systems.
• Documentation: maintain maintenance records, inventory of critical spares, and technical documentation for equipment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance:Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance on plant machinery to minimize breakdown time.
• Troubleshooting:Expertly troubleshoot PLC systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMI, SCADA, motors, and packaging machinery.
• Safety & Compliance:Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE.
• Project Engineering:Lead electrical installation projects, plant upgrades, and automation improvement initiatives.
• Utility Support:Maintain factory utilities such as transformers, generators, switchgears, and HVAC systems.
• Documentation:Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory of critical spares, and technical documentation for equipment.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of industrial experience, preferably in FMCG, Food & Beverages, or Pharmaceutical industries.

• Technical Skills:Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley), SCADA, and Electrical Circuit Design.
• Hands-on Capability:Proven experience in electrical maintenance and panel wiring.
• Motor Control & Drives: Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor starters, and servos to control high-speed packaging and conveyor systems.
• Troubleshooting & Fault Analysis: expertise in root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize downtime. This includes using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopesand multimeters.
• CAD Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electricalor EPLAN for reading and creating Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical schematics.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, proactive troubleshooting abilities, and ability to work in shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-speed packaging machinery or automated vertical packing lines.
• Knowledge of energy management and cost-reduction projects.
