Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety management systems at high-rise residential construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and environmental standards.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Monitor safety practices for work at height, scaffolding, lifting, excavation, electrical, and formwork activities.
• Ensure proper PTW, JSA, and method statement implementation.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, drills, and training for employees and contractors.
• Coordinate with project management and construction teams to ensure EHS standards.
• Monitor PPE compliance, housekeeping, fire safety, and environmental protection measures.
• Maintain EHS documentation, inspection reports, and statutory registers.
• Drive proactive safety culture and timely closure of observations and audit findings.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced EHS professional with 15+ years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety management, specifically in high-rise residential construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards, ensuring statutory compliance, minimizing workplace risks, and maintaining a safe working environment across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety management systems at high-rise residential construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Monitor safety practices related to work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, electrical safety, and formwork activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project management, construction teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure adherence to EHS standards.
• Monitor PPE compliance, housekeeping, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection measures.
• Maintain EHS documentation, inspection reports, incident records, and statutory registers.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure timely closure of safety observations and audit findings.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of overall experience in EHS management within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential building projects.
• Thorough knowledge of construction safety practices, statutory compliance, and risk management.
• Experience in handling site safety teams, contractors, and multiple construction activities.
• Strong leadership, communication, auditing, and incident investigation skills.
• Relevant EHS certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with substantial hands-on EHS experience in high-rise residential construction projects, preferably with reputed real estate developers, EPC contractors, or construction companies.
