Job summary

Lodha is seeking an EHS professional to ensure effective implementation of company EHS policies at construction sites. You will lead daily safety inspections, manage hazardous waste disposal, and maintain PPE and firefighting equipment to safeguard workers and assets.

The role requires 5–8 years in civil, mechanical or electrical fields with NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications. Real estate/infra experience is preferred and you will train staff and contractors on EHS regulations.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ Diploma Civil/Mechanical/Electrical with 5–8 years' experience.
• Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety or PG in HSE / NEBOSH / MTech Safety.
• Experience in Real Estate/Infrastructure/Large Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS compliance for projects in construction operations & maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety inspections for safe work practices.
• Ensure safe disposal/storage of hazardous waste.
• Maintain PPE and firefighting equipment.
• Update MSDS for raw materials and finished products.
• Train employees and contractors on EHS regulations and hazard handling.
• Handle hazardous chemicals.
• Establish contingency plans for emergencies.
• Issue safety alerts to management about unsafe acts/conditions.
• Prepare and submit regular confirmatory reports.
• Create site-specific training modules and conduct on-site training.
• Regular audits of construction areas, labor camps and stores.
• Regular health monitoring of labor camps.
• Ensure adherence to PPE guidelines and signage at sites.

Job description

Role Objective:

Primary deliverable of this role is to ensure effective implementation of company EHS policies and procedures at sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the EHS compliance for their respective projects in construction operation & maintenance work.
• Daily Safety Inspections to ensure safe work practices
• Ensures the safe disposal/storage of hazardous wastage
• Maintenance of personal proactive & firefighting equipment
• Maintaining & updating material safety data sheets for raw materials & finished products.
• Training the employees & contractors on:
• EHS Regulations
• Handling of Hazardous Chemicals
• Use of Personal Protective Equipments
• Fire Fighting
• To establish sound Contingency plans for Emergency
• Issue safety alerts to project management office about any unsafe act/condition at site
• Prepare and submit confirmatory reports on a regular basis
• Prepare site specific training modules and conduct presentations and training on site for staff & labors
• Regular Audits of Construction Area/ labor Camps/ Stores
• Regular Health Monitoring of labor Camps
• Ensure complete adherence to all guidelines relating to PPE Equipments, displaying signs and hoardings at all levels and various project locations

Qualification & Other requirement:

• BE / B.Tech/ Diploma Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 5 to 8 yrs. experience.
• Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety/Diploma in Fire & Safety/ PG Programme in HSE Management / NEBOSH General Certificate/M.Tech Safety
• Experience in Real Estate / Infrastructure Industry / Large Construction house would be preferred.

Education Criteria:

EHS : Minimum 45% or above in SSC & HSC.

Age : Max 45 years
