Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Manager – EHS to lead and implement Environment, Health & Safety practices at construction project sites. The role requires a BE (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent, with mandatory EHS experience and preferred safety certifications.

The incumbent will oversee site safety teams, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct risk assessments, and drive a proactive safety culture across labour and subcontractors on high-rise residential or commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or relevant discipline – Mandatory.
• Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety / Construction Safety from a recognized institute preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) in construction projects, preferably high-rise residential or commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety Management: Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at the project site.
• Hazard Identification & Risk Control: Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and prepare JSA / risk mitigations.
• Supervision of Safety Team: Oversee Safety Officers and Supervisors and coordinate with project management.
• Safety Training & Awareness: Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and contractors.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Contractor Safety Management & Environmental Compliance: Monitor subcontractor safety and ensure regulatory compliance and waste management.
