Job summary

Solara Active Pharma Sciences in India seeks an EHS Specialist to conduct surveys to identify unsafe conditions and drive remedial actions. You will perform safety talks, audits, drills, hazard identifications and risk assessments to strengthen process safety during new product validations.

You will ensure reporting and detailed investigation of accidents, near-misses and fires, implement corrective actions, maintain EHS MIS, and train staff and contractors on PTW, permits and environmental

Qualifications

• Experience in process safety focus for product validations.
• Ability to conduct safety talks, audits, drills and risk assessments.
• Experience reporting accidents and investigating incidents.
• Knowledge of EHS MIS maintenance and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct survey to identify unsafe conditions and acts and take remedial measures.
• Carry out safety talks, safety audits, mock drills, tabletop exercises, hazard identification and risk assessments (HAZOP, MCLS, Risk Analysis).
• Focus on Process Safety for new product validations.
• Ensure reporting of accidents, fire incidents, near-miss incidents; conduct investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain Environment, Health, and Safety MIS (Management Information System).
• Identify training needs of staff on Environment, Health and Safety; prepare materials and impart training to ensure EHS awareness at the plant.
• Issue work permits as per the system; educate vendors/contract workers on PTW requirements.
• Overseeing monitoring of ETP to ensure smooth functioning.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct survey to identify the unsafe conditions and acts and take them up for remedial measure.
• Carry out safety talk, safety audits, mock drills, tabletop exercise, hazard identification and risk assessments (HAZOP, MCLS, Risk Analysis etc).
• Focus on Process Safety for new product validations.
• Ensure reporting of accidents/ fire incident/ near miss incidents, conduct investigation in detail, recommend and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain Environment, Health, and Safety MIS.
• Identify training needs of Strides in Environment, Health, and Safety, prepare training material, impart training to ensure Environment, Health and Safety aspects are understood & adhered in the plant.
• Issuing the work permits as per the work permit system, educate all the vendors/ contract workers on PTW permit work requirements.
• Overall monitoring and ensuring the smooth functioning ETP.
