Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is seeking an EHS Supervisor to oversee safety practices on solar project sites in Rajasthan. You will implement site EHS plans, monitor activities, and ensure compliance with PPE and safety rules.

The role includes PTW support, incident reporting, environmental controls, inductions, and coordination with contractors to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• B.Tech (Civil, Mech, Electrical, Environmental) or Diploma (Civil, Mech, Electrical, Environmental, Fire & Safety).
• 5–10 years of experience as an EHS Supervisor / Safety Officer, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement site EHS plans, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
• Monitor daily site activities for compliance with safety rules and PPE.
• Support PTW system implementation for hot work, electrical work, height work, and confined space.
• Maintain EHS records such as attendance, toolbox talks, inspections, and permits.
• Report accidents and near-misses and assist in investigations.
• Support environmental controls including waste segregation, dust suppression, and noise control.
• Assist in EHS inductions and promote safety awareness.
• Coordinate with site engineers and contractors to resolve safety issues.

Job description

Role Summary

Support the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices at solar project sites to ensure safe working conditions, statutory compliance, and adherence to project safety standards.

Site Safety Implementation

• Assist in implementing site EHS plans, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety rules and use of PPE.
• Ensure safe execution of high-risk activities such as work at height, electrical works, lifting operations, and excavation.

Safety Monitoring & Inspections

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Support daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Assist in monitoring contractor and subcontractor safety compliance.

Permit & Documentation Support

• Assist in Permit-to-Work (PTW) system implementation (hot work, electrical work, work at height, confined space).
• Maintain basic EHS records such as attendance, toolbox talks, inspection checklists, and permits.

Incident Reporting & Support

• Report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately to the EHS In-Charge / Manager.
• Assist in preliminary incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

Environmental Management

• Support environmental controls such as waste segregation, housekeeping, dust suppression, and noise control.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste as per site guidelines.

Training & Awareness

• Assist in EHS inductions for new workers and visitors.
• Promote safety awareness among site personnel and contractors.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve safety-related issues.
• Act as a safety point of contact at site during daily activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech (Civil, Mech, Electrical, Environmental) Diploma (Civil, Mech, Electrical, Environmental, Fire & Safety).
• 5-10 years of experience as an EHS Supervisor / Safety Officer, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
