Job summary

Classic Signages Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a proactive Safety Supervisor (Solar Projects) to ensure safe and compliant execution across multiple sites in India. You will identify hazards, implement safety measures, and maintain a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in solar, electrical, or EPC projects, with strong knowledge of HSE practices and NEBOSH/IOSH certifications being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Safety, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Solar, Electrical, Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of Solar Project Site Safety & HSE practices.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety, Work at Height, Lifting & Material Handling.
• NEBOSH / IOSH / Safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
• Identify hazards and implement risk control and preventive measures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and site personnel.
• Monitor safety during solar panel installation, electrical work, and related activities.
• Coordinate with project engineers and installation teams for safe execution.

Job Overview

We are hiring a proactive and safety-focused Safety Supervisor (Solar Projects) to ensure safe and compliant execution of solar installation and project activities across multiple sites. The candidate will be responsible for identifying hazards, implementing safety measures, ensuring PPE compliance, and maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate risk control and preventive measures
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and site personnel
• Monitor safety during solar panel installation, electrical work, cable laying, structure installation, and commissioning
• Ensure safe working practices for height work, electrical work, lifting, and material handling
• Conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Inductions, and daily safety briefings
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and other required documentation
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and installation teams for safe project execution
• Ensure proper barricading, warning signs, work permits, and emergency arrangements at project sites

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in Solar, Electrical, Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of Solar Project Site Safety & HSE practices
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety, Work at Height, Lifting & Material Handling
• Knowledge of On-Grid & Off-Grid Solar Project activities will be an added advantage
• NEBOSH / IOSH / Safety certification will be an added advantage
• Good communication, reporting, coordination, and team-handling skills
• Willingness to work at project sites / PAN India locations
