Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an on-site EHS professional in Mumbai to lead safety at project sites, conduct inductions, and drive a proactive safety culture. The role involves coordinating with site teams, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring compliance with PPE and safety procedures.

The candidate will support incident investigations, maintain EHS documentation, and mentor junior staff to uphold high safety standards across the project.

• Survey and monitor worksite compliance with safety standards.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide EHS induction and training to project personnel, contractors, and visitors.

• Assist in mentoring junior EHS staff and on-site contractors.

Project Leadership and Execution

• Implement EHS policies and procedures at the project site.
• Conduct daily safety inspections andmonitorworksite compliance with safety standards.
• Identifypotential hazards and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

Strategic Business Growth

• Contribute to a proactive safety culture to enhance project performance.
• Promote safety initiatives that align with organizational goals.
• Support continuous improvement in EHS practices at the project level.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with site supervisors and workers to ensure compliance with EHS protocols.
• Communicate safety requirements and corrective actions to project teams.
• Provide input toEHSManager for incident reporting and resolution.

Leadership and Team Development

• Provide EHS induction and training to project personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Foster awareness of safety procedures and guidelines among theworkforce.
• Act as a role model for safety practices and promote a culture of teamwork.
• Assistin mentoring junior EHS staff and contractors on site-specific safety requirements.

Compliance and Safety

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
• Support the investigation of incidents and near misses, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Verify the use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
• Maintain and update EHS documentation, including checklists, permits, and records.
