Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety at the project site in Chennai district, Tamil Nadu, India. You will implement EHS policies, conduct daily safety inspections, and train site personnel while promoting a proactive safety culture to enhance project performance.

Collaborate with site supervisors, maintain safety records, and mentor junior EHS staff to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Leadership and Team Development

Provide EHS induction and training to project personnel, contractors, and visitors.Foster awareness of safety procedures and guidelines among theworkforce.Act as a role model for safety practices and promote a culture of teamwork.Assist in mentoring junior EHS staff and contractors on site-specific safety requirements.

Compliance and Safety

Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.Support the investigation of incidents and near misses, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.Verify the use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.Maintain and update EHS documentation, including checklists, permits, and records.
