Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Lead - EHS - Site to manage end-to-end Environmental, Health, and Safety at a project site. The role ensures compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and safe work practices throughout the project lifecycle.

The incumbent leads site-level risk identification, incident prevention, emergency response planning, and environmental protection initiatives, aiming for zero-harm throughout site activities.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain permits, licenses, and documentation; interface with statutory authorities during inspections; ensure zero non-compliances.
• Risk Identification and Control: Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA); implement mitigations and review work areas for unsafe conditions.
• Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA closure; ensure timely incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Training and Awareness: Organize EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors; assess training effectiveness periodically.

Job description

The Lead - EHS - Site is responsible for end-to-end Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) implementation at a specific project site. The role ensures full compliance with statutory regulations, corporate policies, and safe work practices throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent leads site-level risk identification, incident prevention, emergency response planning, and environmental protection initiatives. This role plays a key part in building a strong safety culture, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring all activities are executed with zero harm as the central objective.

EHS Implementation at Site: Ensure end-to-end execution of all site-level EHS plans, procedures, and compliance obligations in line with corporate policies and legal requirements.

• ? Regulatory Compliance: Maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and documentation. Interface with statutory authorities during inspections and ensure zero non-compliances
• Risk Identification and Control: Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), implement mitigation measures, and regularly review work areas for unsafe conditions.
• ? Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting.
• ? Training and Awareness: Organize site-specific EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors. Assess training effectiveness periodically.
