We are looking for a highly analytical Product Manager – Equity Research Analyst to join our Product Development team. The role will focus on conducting in-depth fundamental research on listed and unlisted companies, identifying sectoral opportunities, developing investment insights, and supporting the firm's product and investment strategies through high-quality research.
Conduct in-depth fundamental research on listed, unlisted, and PE/VC-backed companies across sectors.
Analyze annual reports, quarterly results, investor presentations, management commentary, concall transcripts, and industry reports.
Evaluate companies based on business quality, financial performance, competitive positioning, management capability, capital allocation, corporate governance, valuation, and growth prospects.
Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment notes.
Prepare company initiation reports, earnings updates, and investment recommendation reports.
Monitor portfolio companies and track key business developments, earnings, and corporate announcements.
Track sectoral trends, competitive landscape, regulatory developments, and emerging investment themes.
Analyze macroeconomic developments and their impact on sectors and companies.
Identify structural growth opportunities and emerging industries with long-term investment potential.
Prepare sector outlook reports and thematic research for internal stakeholders.
Evaluate investment opportunities using qualitative and quantitative parameters.
Conduct peer comparisons, valuation analysis, and scenario-based assessments.
Develop investment frameworks and screening methodologies for identifying high-quality businesses.
Support product development initiatives through equity research and market intelligence.
Prepare detailed research reports, investment presentations, and product notes.
Present research findings and investment recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Develop knowledge resources and sector databases for the Product Development team.
Maintain company databases, valuation models, financial datasets, and research repositories.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of research data.
Utilize Excel and analytical tools to improve research efficiency and reporting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, CFA, MBA (Finance), or a related discipline.
Experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Brokerage, Family Office, or Financial Services.
Strong understanding of equity markets and fundamental analysis.
Experience analyzing listed and unlisted companies across sectors.
Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, business valuation, and investment research methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Ability to independently generate investment ideas and articulate investment theses.
Progress towards or completion of CFA, NISM Research Analyst certification, or other relevant investment qualifications is preferred.
Exposure to Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Pre-IPO company research will be an added advantage.
Passion for capital markets with a long-term, research-driven investment mindset.
