Qualifications

Responsibilities

• End-to-end IPO coverage with a clear Buy/Neutral/Avoid view before issues.
• Extract/verify financials, shareholding patterns, and risk factors from DRHPs.
• Build comps and valuations to provide defensible recommendations.
• Produce data-rich presentations for webinars and roadshows.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a data-driven Research Analyst who is highly comfortable working with large

volumes of financial data and can independently source, extract, clean, and interpret it. The role

sits at the centre of our research output covering IPO calls, webinar and roadshow content, and

performance reporting for our PMS, Subscription, and Infinity verticals. The ideal candidate

combines strong equity research fundamentals with excellent Excel and data-handling skills, an

eye for accuracy, and the ability to deliver time-bound, error-free research collateral.

Key Responsibilities:

IPO Analysis

• Cover the mainboard IPO pipeline end to end and publish a clear Subscribe, Neutral, or Avoid view ahead of each issue opening.
• Work through DRHPs, RHPs, and prospectuses to extract and verify financials, shareholding patterns, objects of the issue, peer valuations, and risk factors.
• Build comparable company and valuation analysis that gives every recommendation a defensible basis.
• Track how recommendations perform after listing and feed those learnings back into the calling framework.

Research Presentations and Content

• Produce presentations for webinars and road shows that are content-rich, data-backed, and error-free.
• Own the recurring research calendar across the subscription, PMS, and Infinity verticals, spanning stock ideas, market outlooks, and performance reviews.
• Bring fresh thinking to existing formats through new data points, charts, and comparisons that sharpen the narrative.
• Stand behind every number that goes out, ensuring it is sourced, cross-checked, and traceable.

Business and Partner Support

• Prepare factsheets and reporting packs for partner and B2B platforms.
• Pull together data and presentation material for the Investment Committee. Maintain investment performance data on internal systems so reporting stays accurate and consistent across teams.
• Respond to research queries carried out by other departments.

Data Management and Analysis

• Source, clean, and structure data from exchange filings, annual reports, investor presentations, earnings calls, and third-party databases.
• Build and maintain Excel models, screeners, and trackers that take the manual effort out of recurring research.
• Spot data discrepancies at source and build the checks that keep errors out of published work.

Key Requirements

• 5 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or a data-heavy analytics role within capital markets, AMC, PMS, broking, or a financial data firm.
• Strong understanding of equity markets, financial statements, valuation methodologies, and IPO analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills including lookups, pivots, Power Query, and model building; comfort with large datasets is essential.
• Hands-on experience extracting data from DRHPs, annual reports, exchange filings, and financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capitaline, Ace Equity, or Screener.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or Power BI for data extraction and automation is a strong advantage.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to convert complex data into clear, visual, presentation-ready insights.
• NISM Series XV (Research Analyst) certification preferred; CFA, CA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a zero-error mindset on published numbers.
• Ability to work to tight, non-negotiable deadlines such as pre-market IPO calls and pre-webinar deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to defend a view with data.
• Self-motivated and accountable, with high ownership of deliverables and a collaborative approach across Research, PMS, B2B, and Technology teams.
