Job summary

The Prafazos Company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounts Executive in Chennai to manage day-to-day financial operations in a digital-first ecommerce environment. You will work with Tally and Wonder, handling entries, reconciliations, and vendor/customer invoicing.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, GST/TDS support, and the ability to produce audit-ready records. Office-based role with immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on accounting experience in ecommerce/operations.
• Experience with GST data compilation, filing support, and records maintenance.
• Handling accounts payable/receivable, marketplace settlements, vendor payments, and invoicing.
• Ability to maintain audit-ready financial records.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting entries, ledger management, and reconciliations using Tally/Wonder.
• Processing accounts payable/receivable incl. marketplace settlements and vendor payments.
• Bank reconciliation statements (BRS) preparation regularly.
• GST data compilation and filing support.
• TDS tracking and basic compliance support.
• Petty cash management and expense reporting.
• Assisting monthly/annual close: TB, P&L, balance sheet.
• Coordinate with ecommerce ops, logistics, and catalogue teams for entries and approvals.
• Maintain inventory entries and reconcile stock with system records.
• Assist MIS reports, payout summaries, and dashboards.

The Opportunity at The Prafazos Company, we run a fast-moving eCommerce operation and we need someone who can keep our numbers as sharp as our marketplace performance. We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accounts Executive who is comfortable with Tally and Wonder, understands eCommerce transaction flows, and is ready to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations in a digital-first business.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting entries, ledger management, and reconciliations using Tally and Wonder software
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including marketplace settlement reconciliations, vendor payments, and customer invoicing
• Bank reconciliation statements (BRS) preparation on a regular basis
• GST data compilation, filing support, and maintaining GST-related records
• TDS tracking, deductions, and basic compliance support
• Petty cash management and expense reporting
• Supporting monthly and annual close processes --- trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet assistance
• Coordinating with eCommerce operations, logistics, and catalogue teams for purchase entries, sales entries, returns accounting, and expense approvals
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring documentation is audit-ready
• Recording and maintaining inventory-related accounting entries --- stock receipts, goods returned, write-offs, and stock adjustments in Tally
• Reconciling physical stock with system inventory records and flagging variances to the warehouse and operations teams
• Assisting senior accounts staff with MIS reports, marketplace payout summaries, and financial performance dashboards

Software Skills Required

• Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime --- day-to-day usage, voucher entry, report generation
• Wonder Accounting Software --- operational familiarity and data entry

Good to Have:

• MS Excel --- basic to intermediate (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formatting)
• Google Sheets for data sharing and reporting
• Any additional ERP or accounting tools
• Experience using Tally’s inventory module --- stock items, stock groups, godowns, and stock summary reports
• Familiarity with inventory management concepts --- FIFO, LIFO, weighted average cost, and stock valuation
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for drafting, summarising, and data interpretation
• Ability to use AI to automate repetitive accounting tasks --- report formatting, expense categorisation, or email drafting
• Openness to adopting AI-powered finance tools as they emerge in the industry.

Office Location: T-Nagar

Work Mode: Work From Office — 100%. No remote or hybrid option.

Day: Monday to Saturday
