Job summary

Tata Steel in Jharkhand seeks an experienced engineer to design and engineer plant electrical and power systems in an integrated steel facility, guiding concepts through commissioning, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to translate requirements into robust electrical solutions.

You will ensure safe, efficient operation of critical electrical infrastructure, manage vendor relationships, perform BOQ estimation, review detailed engineering deliverables, support value engineering and 3D

Qualifications

• Minimum BE/B.Tech or B.Arch; AICTE/UGC approved.
• Equivalent in any discipline or B.Arch with AICTE/UGC approval.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization and basic engineering for plant electrical and power systems.
• Detailed engineering and procurement engineering activities for all electrical infrastructure.
• Manage interfaces between electrical systems and other plant disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and review detailed engineering deliverables for electrical installations, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Engage with and manage relationships with vendors and technology suppliers for electrical equipment and solutions.
• Conduct estimation of macro BOQs and project costs pertaining to electrical and power systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and quality management protocols throughout the electrical design and engineering lifecycle.
• Comply the progress of design and engineering activities for plant electrical and power systems, from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, technology suppliers, and equipment vendors on all electrical design and engineering matters.
• Participate actively in value engineering initiatives and 3D model reviews to optimize electrical system design and integration.
