Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers in India is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to head a team of 12-15 engineers and designers on diverse projects in steel, bulk material handling, and mining sectors.

You will review drawings, ensure quality, drive timely execution, mentor staff, and prepare FEED and detailed engineering packages while coordinating with other disciplines to address interfaces and meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience leading 12-15 member electrical teams on large projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical design, drawings review and installation.
• Ability to deliver FEED packages and detailed engineering services.
• Knowledge of power systems, cable layouts, earthing and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers (12–15) to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Review electrical drawings and documents for quality and compliance.
• Ensure timely project execution and adherence to the discipline QMS.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Prepare electrical scope proposals and man-hour estimates.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve interface points.

JOB Description:

• Leading a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers (a team of 12-15) on various projects and capable of taking ownership.
• Review of Electrical drawings and documents.
• Be responsible for the proper and timely execution of projects, ensuring the Discipline quality management system and meeting all project specific requirements.
• Technical guidelines for team members on multiple projects as and when required.
• Coaching, mentoring and personal development.
• Preparation of technical proposal and man-hour estimation for Electrical part of various proposals
• Provide support for activities such as discipline training, development of resources and maintain Electrical specific BU compliance system.
• Ability to interact with other design disciplines to address interface points in design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required for project execution.
• Should be able to work under stress and act proactively to meet the project schedule.

Experience:

• Vast work experience in Electrical Engineering and Design for an Integrated steel plant, Bulk material handling plant and Mining beneficiation plant.
• Experience in handling projects like developing Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) Packages, executing Detailed Engineering services on EPCM and PMC services
• Rich knowledge and experience in specifications, selection, design and engineering of Electrical equipment/ system.
• Good Knowledge of Power system
• Sizing of Various electrical equipment.
• Detailed engineering to develop Layouts, cable tray layout, earthing, lightning protection and illumination.
