Job summary

Peoplefy Infosolutions in Pune seeks an EIC proposal engineer to lead techno-commercial bids. You will prepare detailed costings, SLDs, and layouts, manage tenders, ROIs, and vendor evaluations while coordinating with electrical, instrumentation, and process teams.

The role involves estimating engineering hours, developing scenarios, and ensuring on-time bid submissions with compliant documentation. Pune-based, with general shift expectations.

Qualifications

• Education in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics as required.
• Experience in proposal/FEED deliverables and costing.
• Knowledge of MCC/PLC, electrical items and layouts.
• Crossfunctional collaboration with process, mechanical, civil teams.
• Awareness of standards and bid submission timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete EIC techno-commercial bids including cost buildup and documentation.
• Review tenders, perform quantity takeoff, RFQ management, and vendor evaluations.
• Prepare SLDs, cable schedules, I/O counts, switchgear and control panels.
• Build price sensitivity analyses and what-if scenarios (FX, vendor alternates).
• Estimate engineering hours for EIC portion and system architecture.
• Quantify FAT/SAT emulation, third-party integrations, and contingencies.
• Draft deviations, scope splits, and write technical proposal narratives.
• Conduct handover for proposals with scope matrix and risk register.
• Maintain unit-rate database and vendor performance logs.

Responsibilities

• participate actively and provide optimized costing for EIC * proposal engineers portion during budding so that winning probablity is high.
• detailed EIC engineering

• bringing clarity on scope, clarification & deviations, exclusions etc
• 1. Prepare complete EIC technocommercial bids including QTO, vendor TBEs/CBEs, cost buildup, risk registers, and proposal documentation
• 2.Responsible for tender / enquiry review, quantity takeoff, RFQ management, vendor technocommercial evaluations, and proposal documentation, ensuring compliance competitiveness, and profitability.
• 3. responsible for SLDs, cable schedules, tray routing lengths, I/O count, instruments per P&IDs, junction boxes, control panels (PCC/MCC/VFD), earthing & lightning protection, small power & lighting.
• 4.Build price sensitivity and whatif scenarios (FX, commodity, vendor alternates, make lists).
• 5. Engineering hours estimation for EIC portion, Estimate PLC/SCADA system architecture, servers/licensing, I/O modules, networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP/RTU), cybersecurity allowances, historian, reports, and logic/HMI development hours.
• 6. Quantify FAT/SAT emulation/simulation, thirdparty integrations (pumps, drives, meters, analyzers).
• 7.Price risk contingencies (schedule acceleration, import exposure, warranty spares, obsolescence). . Draft deviations, qualification notes, and scope split clearly (OEM vs site works).
• 8. Prepare Technical Proposal: compliance matrix, EIC narrative, equipment datasheets/GTPs, SLDs, typical layouts, I/O list summary, cause&effect overview etc.
• 9. Conduct proposaltoproject handover (scope matrix, cost codes, vendor baseline, risk register). Capture win/loss analysis; maintain unitrate database and vendor performance logs.

Requirements

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics
• Estimation Tools: Advanced Excel (Pivot)rate libraries; ERP for costing; * *Detailoriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
• AutoCAD for QTO; EPLAN (nice to have). *Clear technical writing and clientfacing communication.
• Electrical knowledge: SLDs, load lists, cable sizing, earthing / lightning, *Crossfunctional collaboration with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Projects, PCC/MCC/VFD specs, UPS. SCM.
• Instrumentation: Flow/level/pressure transmitters, pH /DO/ turbidity, chlorine analyzers, valve actuators, analyzers for WTP /ETP/ ZLD.
• *Standards Awareness: IEC/IEEE/NEMA/IS, electrical safety; water quality & process basics to validate instrument selection.
• awareness of competitive costing Estimate accuracy vs. actuals on awarded jobs (target 23%).
• awareness about latest codes and standards and its cost Ontime bid submissions and query response time. & time impact

Primary skills

• Experience 3+ years
• Prepare proposal/FEED deliverables, BOQ/costing, field-instrument and control-system datasheets, layouts, hook-up/installation drawings, cable/tray calculations, package reviews and vendor coordination.
• Experience in MCC/ PLC, Electrical items including lighting, heat tracing, VFD, cables and earthing, etc
• Previously worked in project business estimation side that will also work
• Water industry worked that side is not mandate, BUT if worked on water waste side then its very good.
