Job summary

Haier Appliances is seeking a seasoned Production Planning Controller (PPC) to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with customer demand, forecasts, and inventory levels.

You will coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams to ensure smooth scheduling, optimize machine and manpower utilization, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Ensure smooth production scheduling to achieve production targets while optimizing machine and manpower utilization.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams for seamless execution of production plans.
• Monitor material availability and work closely with the procurement team to prevent line stoppages.
• Track production performance against the plan and take corrective actions to minimize schedule deviations.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods while reducing inventory carrying costs.
• Conduct capacity planning and identify bottlenecks to improve production efficiency.
• Monitor production KPIs such as plan adherence, inventory turnover, OTIF, production efficiency, and schedule attainment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead time, and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure timely ERP/SAP updates for production orders, inventory transactions, and planning data.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production and inventory reports to management.
• Lead and mentor the PPC team to ensure operational excellence and continuous development.
