Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] seeks an experienced Quality Engineer for transmission assembly and testing in tractor manufacturing. You will drive audits, CAPA actions, and continuous improvements to ensure consistent product quality.

The role requires expertise in QA, SOP adherence, and hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, with a focus on eliminating defects and enabling smooth new model launches.

Qualifications

• 7-15 years of experience in manufacturing quality.
• Experience in transmission assembly and quality assurance in an assembly plant.
• Knowledge of quality tools like 7 QC, Why Why analysis.

Responsibilities

• Transmission Aggregate assembly / Testing of tractor.
• Transmission assembly process and functional testing knowledge is essential.
• Knowledge of transmission types and field application gear / speed knowledge is essential.
• Hands on experience in assembly practices of transmission manufacturing and quality setting parameters.
• Ensure quality of aggregates through Product & Process audits.
• Experience in Quality assurance function in assembly plant transmission assembly.
• Handling overall Product audit and Process audit on assembly line.
• Analysing customer complaints, Assembly line rejection, Supplier parts analysis and corrective actions.
• Continuous process improvements (KAIZENS) to achieve consistent product quality.
• Implementation of POKA-YOKES to eliminate human error.
• Monitoring and ensuring adherence to processes with SOP/SOS by periodic process audit, SPC and MSA studies.
• Responsible for Engineering Change Management Process,
• Smooth launch of new model / new variants.
