• Plan day-to-day material requirements for raw materials, consumables, tools and indirect materials.
• Manage procurement processes including POs, supplier payments and subcontracting activities.
• Ensure inventory controls align with targets and drive cost efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee safe storage of materials and upkeep of stores inventory.
• Lead the unit's procurement team and ensure smooth operations.

Educational Qualification : Graduate in Engineering / Diploma

Experience:18 to 25 years in handling procurement activities in the manufacturing sector; preferably from auto component / machining.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Should have experience of handling multiple suppliers / vendors / sub contracting vendors, inventory controls, stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning day to day material requirements for the unit covering raw materials, consumables, tools, indirect materials, capital goods, subcontracted materials / services.
• Manage procurement processes for the unit, including documentation, purchase orders, supplier payments, rejection handling and subcontracting activities.
• Ensure material / components inventory controls as per inventory targets, implement cost efficiency initiatives and functional improvement activities.
• Manage all activities to ensure safe storage of materials, maintaining stores inventory and upkeep of stores
• Responsible for managing the Unit procurement team
