Job summary

Shivtara Grain Milling Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Driver & Fleet Staff Manager to lead our transport workforce across multiple locations.

You will ensure drivers, cleaners, and fleet staff are recruited, trained, disciplined, productive, and compliant to support operations. Responsibilities include rosters planning, recruitment, licensing verification, GPS tracking, safety training, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Graduate preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience managing transport operations or large driver workforces.
• Experience leading drivers, cleaners, and fleet support staff.
• Strong knowledge of GPS fleet monitoring systems.
• Good understanding of transport regulations, road safety, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage drivers, cleaners, helpers, and fleet staff.
• Plan rosters, shifts, attendance, and leave to ensure manpower.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and induct drivers and fleet personnel.
• Verify licences, conduct background checks, and ensure compliance.
• Monitor driver productivity, trips, idle time, overtime, and utilization.
• Track vehicle movement via GPS and investigate route deviations.
• Coach, counsel, and conduct performance reviews for drivers.
• Enforce policies, discipline, and safe driving practices.
• Organize driver safety training and refresher programs.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain employee records, licences, medical fitness, training, and discipline.
• Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Workshop, HR, Finance, Security, and external agencies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on driver metrics.

Driver & Fleet Staff Manager

Shivtara Grain Milling Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Driver Manager to lead and manage our transport workforce across multiple locations.

This role is focused on managing people. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our drivers, cleaners, and fleet support staff are recruited, trained, disciplined, productive, compliant, and always available to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage drivers, cleaners, helpers, and fleet support staff.
• Plan driver rosters, shifts, attendance, and leave to ensure adequate manpower.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and induct drivers and fleet personnel.
• Verify licences, conduct background checks, and ensure statutory compliance.
• Monitor driver productivity, trip completion, idle time, overtime, and utilization.
• Track vehicle movement through GPS and investigate route deviations, delays, unauthorized stoppages, and overspeeding.
• Conduct driver coaching, counselling, and performance reviews.
• Enforce company policies, discipline, and safe driving practices.
• Organize driver safety training, toolbox talks, and refresher programs.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate employee records, licences, medical fitness, training, and disciplinary documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Workshop, HR, Finance, Security, and external agencies including RTO and insurance companies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on driver availability, productivity, attendance, recruitment, GPS exceptions, safety, and workforce performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate preferred.
• 7 - 10 years of experience managing transport operations, logistics teams, or large driver workforces.
• Experience leading drivers, cleaners, and fleet support staff.
• Strong knowledge of GPS fleet monitoring systems.
• Good understanding of transport regulations, road safety, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in recruitment, manpower planning, attendance management, and employee discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
